my name is lisa ford.
I am originally from Geneseo, IL, my favorite color’s yellow, and I love art.
I am a senior at St. Ambrose University majoring in Graphic Design and Painting with a Philosophy Minor. I will be graduating December 2010.
I started painting my freshman year of college, and immediately loved everything about the process. I am an abstract oil painter, and I love texture and color. I am starting to incorporate real objects as symbols into my work, and hope to convey the idea of an unending search for truth with my paintings. (Check out my artist statement! Graphic Design is another artistic channel that I love, and it informs some of my paintings as well. My style varies from project to project depending on what is necessary, but I love high contrast, and bold, simple design.
